Accessible via wide, paved roads, Lookout Lodge welcomes all vehicles, including motorcycles, right to its driveway.
Our cabin is situated on a beautifully wooded lot and its natural setting with a private access to Fontana Lake just 5 minutes away. The incredible views of the Great Smoky Mountains will leave you awe-struck.
Outdoors and Activities
Centrally located between Bryson City and the Nantahala Outdoor Center, Lookout Lodge is a prime spot for exploring the area. Within 15 minutes, you’ll find shopping, dining, whitewater rafting, tubing, the Bryson City Scenic Train Depot, the Tsali Recreation Area for mountain biking and hiking, Deep Creek, the Great Smoky Mountain National Park, Nantahala Outdoor Center and more.
For lake lovers, private access to Fontana Lake is just 5-10 minutes away, with hiking trails, lakefront gazebos, grills, and a marina offering a day-use dock and boat launch. Bring your fishing gear or water toys and enjoy the pristine, natural shoreline where you can kayak, jet ski, or swim.
Upon arrival, you’ll be greeted by a spacious deck with comfortable seating, offering uninterrupted views of the mountains. Gather around the “Tiki” fire pit for cozy evenings under the stars or relax in our luxury hot tub, where you can soak in the picturesque, multi-layered mountain views. On summer nights, watch as fireflies light up the magical, star-filled skies.
Inside the Cabin
Step inside the mountain cabin to an open and airy space featuring wood floors, reclaimed beams, and floor-to-ceiling windows, bringing the outdoors in. The great room, with its focal point rock fireplace, is a perfect spot to unwind after a day of adventure. The fully appointed chef’s kitchen, designed for gourmet cooking, flows into the dining area with seating for eight. A large screened porch off the dining room is perfect for reading, yoga, or simply enjoying the serenity of the mountains.
Enjoy the in house entertainment including a game room which features a shuffleboard table, shuffleboard bowling, board games, a large flatscreen TV, a game table, and a full bar (B.Y.O.B). Whether you’re watching a sports event or playing cards, the game room provides a lively space while the bedrooms remain quiet and undisturbed.
For those combining work with leisure, Lookout Lodge features a loft office equipped with a desk, computer monitor, and arguably the best mountain views in the cabin. High-speed, unlimited internet ensures you stay connected and productive.
Sleeping Arrangements
The house has 3 bedrooms and a private loft bedroom, each thoughtfully designed with luxurious touches. The main level features a master suite with a king bed, luxurious linens, and an en-suite bathroom with a jetted tub and separate shower. Upstairs, the second master (Jr. Master) offers another king bed, large windows with mountain views, and a cozy chaise lounge. The third bedroom features a queen bed and a skylight, perfect for stargazing. The private loft bedroom has two twin beds (a day bed and trundle), making it ideal for families or children.
